Prajnana and Vijnana
« on: February 14, 2010, 10:09:44 AM »
When someone asked about the difference between Prajnana
and Vijnana, Bhagavan Ramana replied:  Swarupa Jnana (Self
Awareness) is Prajnana.  Anubhava Jnana (Knowledge through
experience) is Vijnana.

Another time, I asked Bhagavan Ramana to explain the distinction
between Aham Brahmasmi ( I am Brahman) and Bramaaham
(Brahman is I) in Sri Ramana Gita, Chapter IV, Verse 1.  Bhagavan
Ramana said:  "By meditating on Brahmaaham, the sense of indirectness goes away.  By meditating on Aham Brahmasmi, the
sense of separateness is removed."
