Tiruppavai - 6
« on: December 21, 2009, 02:29:21 PM »
Today is the 6th day of Margazhi, Dhanur month and the song no.
6 of Andal in Tiruppavai and song no. 6 of Manikkavachagar in
Tiruvembavai are sung.  The 20 verses of Tiruvembavai have been
covered during last December by me.  Hence, Tiruppavai this time.

O lo!  The birds are singing in this early morning.  From the temple
of Garuda, the king of the birds, can't you hear the reverberating
sound of white conch-shell blowing?  O girl, please get up from
bed.  It is the time, when Yogis and Bhaktas are singing the glory
of Narayana, to their hearts' content.  He is the one who suckled
the big poison-laced breasts of Puthana and he is the one who
kicked the cart-wheel from where a demon rose and got killed.
He is the primordial seed on the white milky ocean on a long
winding serpent (Adisesha).  Call him Hari. Listen to the roaring
sounds of Hari, Hari from he temple.  Let this name get into
your heart and you wake up with cool mind to take bath and visit
the temple.

Here the story of Krishanavatara is continued.  Puthana liberation
and Chakdasura's liberation are mentioned.

Arunachala Siva.
