The Mothers who gave food, robes and bath to Ramana
« on: November 28, 2009, 10:40:28 AM »
In the early years of Bhagavan Ramana, there were a couple of
women who helped Him.  There was one Ratnammal, wife of
Velayudha Chetty, who found Bhagavan Ramana, at the Temple,
after His coming out of Patala Lingam Shrine.  She once placed
a new coupina near Him and simply went away without telling
Him anything.  Bhagavan Ramana did not however use it.  She
also left some food a few times.  Perhaps Bhagavan Ramana
might have taken a little of the food.  Later, there was one
temple dancer who saw him, unkempt and full of dirt on the
body.  She came with her brother next day.  Since she did not
want to touch Ramana, she asked her brother to pour a bucket
of water and wash Him and dry Him.  Then she left some food
and left.

Echammal and Mudaliar Patti came a few years later to serve
Him food in Virupaksha Cave.
