Is God a person?
« on: November 24, 2009, 04:30:55 PM »
Once a Christian missionary asked Bhagavan Ramana:

Is god a person?

Bhagavan Ramana said:

Yes. He is the FIRST PERSON.  'Aham'.  If you give importance
to the world he does not get even the second person but only
the third person.  According to the Bible, He told Moses that
His name was I AM. (Aham asmi).  (Eccelesiastics).

For a Jnani the whole world is God's form of persons.  But
the ajnanis give only a portion of the person, the third person.

Bhagavan Ramana also has said in Who am I?

Swarupam is Jagat.  Swarupam is Jiva.  Swarupam is Iswara.
All are Siva Swarupam.

Arunachala Siva.
