Siva Tandavam

Some times, life flows like a tandavam --- and it is as if nothing is in our hands ... things are just happening all around ... without our intervention ... we are hapless witness of what is happening to our lives!

Irrespective of whether we consider it a good turn of events or a bad one ... those are moments when we see clearly how there is nothing we can do ... the actions are in our hands but the results totally not in control ...

Floods, Earth quakes, Tsunamis and natural clamities apart ... each person has his or her own internal Floods, Earth quakes or Tsunamis too ... and there are many a moments when there is absolutely nothing that we can do ...

Those are very important moments --- coz those bring to us the Truth... those introduce us to the Truth. instead of getting excited , when we observe carefully... those are moments of no control ... no controller :)

Love!

Dear srkudai,

What a coincidence!  Only today, I posted about the eightfold
manifestations of Brahman, as per Verse 9 of Sri Dakshinamurty
Stotram of Sri Sankara.  Most of us, get affected by all these
dyads, famine and tsunamis, rain and shine, social workers
and terrorists.  But Jnani knows, it is Siva Tandavam, and does
not get perturbed.  He witnesses all these dyads as Siva Swarupam.

It is said in Periya Puranam, that Karaikal Amma wanted to
witness the Cosmic Dance of Siva.  Siva told: "Amma, I can
do that only when there is dissolution"  Karaikal Amma said:
"No, my child, I would like to witness that now and here, before
I come to your feet!"  Siva danced that special cosmic dance
in Tiruvalangadu.  And Karaikal Amma was the only Witness
to this! She describes it in a poem called Tiruvalangattu Mootha
Tirupatdigam, the Elder Decad at Tiruvalangadu.

Arunachala Siva.
