What I am speaking? What I am transmitting?
« on: July 24, 2009, 11:48:27 AM »
Bhagavan Ramana has taught us about Vichara Marga.  Many of
us, even today, think that  Bhagavan Ramana has taught us something new by way of self enquiry.  It is not so.  It is built in,
even in Upanishads, but very subtly.  I have written about Chandogya Upanishad Chapters III, IV, VI and VIII, where this Heart Centre
and Brahma Swarupam in Heart Centre is indicated very subtly.
Sri Sankara has also said about this in his commentaries on various
Upanishads and in Sri Dakshinamurty Stotram.  Bhagavan Ramana
has only made it somewhat open and direct, without the camaflouge of Upanishadic allegories and similes.

Once T.K. Sundaresa Iyer asked Bhagavan whether He has given
them some new philosophy.  Bhagavan Ramana replied to him stating
that He cannot say anything what the other experiencers [Anubhavis]
had earlier said.

Similarly, Swami Ramatirthar told Bhagavan Ramana in a rapturous
mood:  "O Bhagavan!  You have transmitted something from your eyes
to my Heart!"  Bhagavan Ramana said:  "I cannot transmit anything
what is in my eyes, which was not in the eyes of other experiencers
too.

If a Guru thinks that the disciples are different from him, he cannot
give Upadesa.  He can give only if he sees them as He and also that
experience that was already in the other gurus. Further, it is not
transmitting something new, but only brightening the Self already
within, covered by heaps of egotistic-garbage!
