Arunachala Darsanam
« on: July 16, 2009, 10:54:34 AM »
What is Arunachala Darsanam?  Is it visiting Tiruvannamalai and
seeing the Hill?  Is it having a darsan of Arunachaleswara and
Apeetakuchambal in the Big Temple?  Is it circumambulation of the
Hill?  Yes, all these are darsanam, to some extent.  But Arunachala
Mahatmyam says even the thinking of the Arunachalam confers
liberation.  Then why visiting the place?  Bhagavan Ramana says:
Arunachala is the Heart.  He is in the Heart as I-I.  (Sri Arunachala
Pancharatnam).

Someone told Nochur Venkataraman:  I am a Krishna Bhakta.  How
can I visit Arunachaleswara or the Hill?  Nochur had said:  Why not?
Arunachala is your Heart dancing as I-I.  You need not be even
a Siva bhakta to understand the I that is within you.  That is
Arunachala.

Someone else asked him:  I am in Lalgarh in North East India.  I am
having knee problems.  My son is in Qubec, Canada.  How can I
go all the way to Tiruvannamalai?  Nochur said:  Do not worry.
Be where you are.  But, be as you are!  Your Heart is Arunachala.
Watch the dance of I-I in the Heart Centre.

Heart = I = Consciousness = Sivam = Brahman = the Self =
Krishna = Rama = Jesus Christ = Buddha = Mahavira = Arunachala!
And all are Bhagavan Ramana.

Arunachala Siva.
