How can an external object touch me ?
« on: July 13, 2009, 06:04:41 PM »
This is the clearest thing to see.
any external happening... how can it touch me?
1) for an external object to touch me it has to be a part of my mind.
2) for an object in mind to touch me, i should be a part of the mind!
3) I am the Consciousness in whose presence the mind as if functions. So i am not mind.
4) how then can the external object ever touch me!!??

oh no, they are touching :( ... well, then look within and see who is getting touched!!

Dear srkudai,

Everything outside touches us because of the mind.  Mind is like
a castor oil coating on our hands.  When this coating is removed,
then the Self touches the mind and the mind becomes non-existent.
Muruganar says:  I am an Ajnani no doubt.  But when I go near
Bhagavan, the Ajanana kills itself.  Guru's Grace removes the
anjana [black mascara or castor oil] of an Ajnani and he becomes
a Jnani like his Guru.

Arunachala Siva.
