Self Realization
« on: June 02, 2009, 10:48:22 AM »
One day in 1945, when G.V. Subbaramayya was present
in the Hall, Bhagavan Ramana was talking of Self Realization.
He said:

"What is Self Realization?  A mere phrase.  People expect
some miracles to happen, something to drop from Heaven,
in a flash.  It is nothing of the sort. Only the notion that
you are the body, that you are this and that, will go, and
you remain as you are.  Indeed, Realization is another
name for the Self."

Beautiful !

Yes, usually its the tendency among people to think that something is going to happen, that they will suddenly leave their home and everybody and go away to some noland and sit in some garb with beard and wait for people to gather among them and then they can start telling fortunes Future and Past of people ..., etc....,

After all what else is there so that one can change to apart from Himself. Is Consciousness something that can put various Masks so that it can change itself as something?

That which we think it is, is not
That which we don't think, it is
That which only is.

The source of everything is Brahman alone.

Remain quietly in the Self.
