Pilgrimage to Hill of Fire, April - May 2009 - 3
« on: May 03, 2009, 11:18:14 AM »
On the night of 1st May, I had a strange encounter with one
German lady.  She was in the dinner queue, sweating profusely
around 7.15 pm.  She was wearing spotlessly white sari and a
white blouse.  Some curious bystander in the queue, asked her
since how long she was staying in Tiruvannamalai.  She smiled and
answered: "Since one and a half years!"  Then she added:  "My mother had stayed here for 40 years.  She had come in 1956
and she never returned to Germany till her death in 1996, when
she was 89.  I used to visit her off and on and stayed here at the
time of her merger with Arunachala!  Then I came in 2007 for good!"

I was astonished about her simple matter of fact statement.  She was setting right her kumkum on her forehead with a handkerchief since
it was melting and dropping due to sweat.  I then asked her name and she said some German name which I could not remember and
spell.  Then I learnt that her mother was the famous author of HUNTING THE 'I' - Ms. Lucy Cornelssen.  I folded my hands and
saw her face in obeisance.  I told her:  "Bhagavan is the most powerful magnet to atttact.  We have only to be good steel and not
a lump of clay or sand!"  She smiled at me and said:  "You are correct.  We have only to be  good steel."  Pranams to the blessed
daughter of that illustrious lady!
