The Car Example
« on: March 25, 2009, 10:30:34 AM »
Hi Friends,
I was listening to the Annamalai swami's interview and Annamalai swami gives a very nice example:
The mind and the body are like a car ... you are the one driving from within; he says.
And that is a very interesting example.
a couple of points:
-The states of the car are not the states of the one driving it.
-The car need not be stopped for the driver to know he is the driver.
-The driver does not become driver by some cleaning of the car etc.
-Whether the car is moving at 120 kmph or whether it is moving at 10kmph, that has no affect on the driver.
-The Driver need not move for the car to move.
-Unlike in the normal car, even if the car is not driven properly, the  driver cannot be troubled.

I think, we should drive the car as if we are sitting at the back seat,
without any anxieties.
