Love and Sat Chit Ananda
« on: March 10, 2009, 10:14:06 AM »
Once in 1940s, an Australian visitor asked Bhagavan Ramana, why Love is not included in the Vedantic Trinity of Sat Chit Ananda.

Bhagavan Ramana replied: Peace is Love. Hence, in His teachings,
Love was not different from the Supreme Reality.  Anbe Sivam.
Love is the natural attribute of the Self.

Love is always considered as something that is connected to bhakti and is therefore dualiity.   But Bhagavan Ramana's teachings clearly
indicate that the Self includes everything including love. Further
Bhagavan Ramana and other great Masters, cannot be contained within any conventional framework.

{Bhagavan Ramana's Arunachala Stuti Panchakam reveals the a heart overflowing with love for the sacred Hills.  His perception of the Hills
as Love Itself.  Anburu Arunachala azhal mezhukai.... says Verse 2
of Arunachala Padigam.}

Satchidananda is not Vedantic trinity,just they are three different words to indicate the nature of

"that which exists" i.e Pure conscious being.

Dear Dr. Raju,

Yes. The Australian visitor had used the word in his writings.  Brahman is One and we call It with a thousand names, all are
attributes only.

Arunachala Siva.
