Miracles Do Happen
« on: February 20, 2009, 10:41:31 AM »
Smt. Parvatam, wife of M.V. Venkatarama Iyer was like her husband,
a staunch devotee of Bhagavan Ramana.  Everymonth, as soon as
Mr. Iyer received his salary, he used to take his wife Parvatam to the Asramam. On one of her visits, Smt. Parvatam, prostrated to Bhagavan Ramana, with her baby, (her eldest son Ramanachalam),
in her arms.  When she stood up, she was stunned by what she saw.
Instead of the usual divine form of Bhagavan Ramana, she saw a
great formless Effulgence. The Effulgence manifested before her, not
once but three times!  Bhagavan Ramana thus fulfiled the plea that is written in Aksharamanamalai, Verse 32.

"Stop deceiving me, testing me and proving me, O Arunachala,
and henceforward reveal to me instead Your Form of Light!"

Soodhu seydhu ennai chodhiyathu ini un
Jothi urukkattu Arunachala!

When Smt Parvatam informed Bhagavan Raman what had happened
Bhagavan just smiled and said:  "Is it so?"

Venkatarama Iyer) article in Mountain Path, Aradhana, 2006)

Subramanian Sir,

There were many miracles that happened in this family. Sh.Sabapathy, remembers that sri bhagavan himself appeared and dictated all the answers, when he was to appear for a gazetted officer's exam for the railways. With sri bhagavan's grace he was one of the very few [ i think one of the twelve] to have cleared that exam and be promoted. This, inspite of the fact that he had had health problems and was unsure of progress in his career because of that.

Smt. Parvatham once missed bhagavan, while he went for girivalam. She met him mid-way and tearfully asked why sri bhagavan left her and went for girivalam. sri bhagavan said that all merits of this grivalam shall go only to her! She and her husband, sh. venkatramier were very staunch devotees of bhagavan.

Like smt.mahalakshmi ammal, this family also had to bear the burden of losing seven children in a row even while in their infancy. It was sh.bhagavan's grace and blessings that helped the young couple get over the grief.

Smt. Parvathammal left her body with bhagavan's name 'Ramana' on her lips!

Great is our bhagavan!

Ramanarpamastu

Dear SLakshmi,

Miracles do happen even today.  During my Jan 2010, we observed
T.R. Kanakammal's merger in the Samadhi Hall, with Bhagavan.
While on the next day, i.e. after the Jayanti, when we were talking
with someone, he said that during the earlier Jayanti, one worker
who was constructing the shamiana with tall bamboo poles, fell down,
from 25 feet and was in a blood pool.  When everyone including the
doctors had lost hope, he had come back within 10 days, with no
bone fracture, no skull injury, in a fit condition.  The Presence of
Bhagavan inside the Asramam, particularly in the Samadhi Hall and
Old Hall, are quite powerful.
