Chord of Bhakti
« on: February 19, 2009, 07:55:14 PM »
Doing Bhakti to Ramana may attract Ramakrishna,
Doing Bhakti to Siva may attract Vishnu, and Devi,

For the chord of Devotion from the devotee's heart is tied to their Lotus Feet.
Homage to the Universal Being...Om Shanti ... Om Shanti ... Om Shanti ...

Dear Silentgreen,

I totally agree with you about our devotion to Bhagwan may attract Ramakrishna, and devotion to Shiva may attract Vishnu and Devi.

I would like to further add that It will finally attract the Self itself who is doing the Bhakti thus enabling one to find out who is it that is making Bhakti and who is it that is attracting other Gods and Goddesses.

Who am I?    Who am I ?

O Bhagwan I Love you.

Dear silentgreen, Ganesh_b01,

Wonderful.  Srimad Bhagavatam says that Yasoda tied Krishna with
her rope of bhakti.  Bhakti is Jnana Matha, mother of Jnana.  Saint
Manikkavachagar gives a different imagery.  In Tiruvachakam,
Tiruvandapahudi, lines 40-41, he says:   "He is so far away that
my mind cannot reach Him.  But He can be easily caught in the net
of bhkati."  The felllow who is beyond mind and ego, comes of His
own accord and gets caught in our net of bhakti!  The feet which
could not be fathomed by Vishnu, tirelessly walked two times to
the house of  devotee's angry wife in Tiruvarur!

Arunachala Siva.
