Miracles Do Happen
« on: February 05, 2009, 11:09:40 AM »
Major Chadwick was in Chile and he was practising some kind of
meditation, in which he was contemplating on the Creator or God,
as his essential core.  In 1924, he came across Brunton's book,
A Search in Secret India, and immediately decided that Bhagavan
Ramana was his Guru.  He came to Tiruvannamalai, in 1935.  He said later, that even though Brunton wrote a lot of rubbish about Bhagavan in his subsequent years, his book no doubt stirred the minds of so many Westerners.

He says that it would be difficult to describe his first meeting with
Bhagavan Ramana.

" I felt a tremendous peace of his presence and his graciousness.
It was not as though I were meeting Him for the first time. It seemed that I had always known Him! It was not like even a renewal of old acquaitanceship. It had always been there though I had not been conscious of it at the time. Now I know."

Later, Bhagavan Ramana Himself has said: " Chadwick was with us
before, he was one of us. He had some desire to be born in West, and that he has now fulfilled."
