Miracles Do Happen
« on: January 07, 2009, 09:30:01 AM »
In the early days, when Muruganar was in the Asramam, there were
not many inmates in the Asramam.  Still, Murugnar could not meet
Bhagavan Ramana alone, all for himself.  Murugnar desired to meet
Bhagavan Ramana, all alone.  In those days, the inmates used to go
into the forests to pick leaves for making leaf plates.  One day, they
all planned to start for that work along with Bhagavan Ramana. Bhagavan
started for the Hills a few minutes before others, and while going He just
looked at Murugnar and bid him to follow Him.  Murugnar followed
Bhagavan and soon they went into forests.  Bhagavan Ramana sat there
on a sand dune, under thick trees and asked Muruganar to sit with Him.

Murugnar sat with Him, with awe, fear and devotion.  Bhagavan Ramana
looked at Murugnar intently for a few minutes.  His look pierced the
eyes of Murugnar and went directly into his Heart!  Murugnar lost
all outward sensations and remained in Sivanubhava.  He did not know
how long he sat like that.   The others who came for leaf picking could
not find Bhagavan Ramana and so they returned to the Asramam, after
the work was over.  Bhagavan Ramana too left Muruganar and returned
the Asramam.  When Murugnar opened his eyes after a long time, it
was already evening and he had not sense of time.  He returned to the
Asramam, with the floodtide of bliss full in his Heart.  This experience
lasted for more than  three days during which Murugnar could not attend
to any work mindfully!

Muruganar describes this incident in his Keerthi Tiruvahaval, in Sri
Ramana Sannidhi Murai.  Bhagavan Ramana also has described His
grace on this special occasion to Murugnar in a song that was given
to Viswanatha Swami.
