Miracles Do Happen
« on: December 30, 2008, 12:33:00 PM »
It was during the years of Bhagavan Ramana's illness.  He was
staying in the bathroom, which later became Nirvana Room.

One Sitarama Reddiy who was a Minister in Madras Cabinet, came
to the Asramam and since it was his first visit, the Asramam authorities
asked Balarama Reddiyar to take the Minister and introduce him
to Bhagavan Ramana.   So they went inside the room, and Balarama
Reddiyar felt a stong new light spreading to the whole of the room.
Balarama  Reddiyar felt surprised and thought that perhaps it was
due to his intensive devotion to Bhagavan Ramana, that he was
seeing and feeling the light spread out inside the room.  He kept
quiet about it.

After a few minutes, when both Reddiyar and the Minister came out
of the room, the Minister asked Narayana Reddiyar:

What is that light which was bright and fully spread out inside the
Maharshi's room?"

Balarama Reddiyar could not answer him but felt within himself that
this was the effulgence from Bhagavan Ramana about which Kavyakanta
Ganapati Sastri had written in Sri Ramana Chatvarimsat, Verse 2.

This special light emanating from Bhagavan Ramana had been felt
more intent by the devotees on Jayanti days and Mother's Nirvana
Days and special festivals like Maha Deepam in Kartigai month.
This was also experienced by devotees one day prior to the liberation
of Echammal and Mudaliar Patti.
