Miracles Do Happen
« on: December 30, 2008, 11:43:55 AM »
Lalita Iyer, wife of Narayana Iyer, Sub Registrar Narayna Iyer,
was also a great devotee of Bhagavan Ramana, like her husband.
After some years in Tiruvannamalai, Narayana Iyer was transferred
to nearby places.  Lalita Iyer used to bring tasty snacks often while
they were in Tiruvannamalai.  After the transer, the couple used to
come on Sundays to meet Bhagavan Ramana and they were always
bringing snacks for Sundays.

Once when Shantammal, kitchen assistant was enquring whether she
could prepare some snacks for the next day, Bhagavan Ramana said:
"Tomorrow is Sunday. Narayana Iyer will be arriving tomorrow. He
will surely bring something to eat!"  That Sunday, Narayana Iyer arrived
with some delectable 'omappodi' (made from gram flour, spices and salt).
Bhagavan Ramana took a little of the snacks and wanted the rest to be
distributed to the devotees in the Hall.

Muruganar a keen observer of Bhagavan Ramana's ways, used to recall
with wonder, that if the attendant gave each one present in the Hall,
exactly the same amount that Bhagavan Ramana had taken, it would
just suffice for all, whether the number present was great or small.

This was found to be unfailingly true.  Whatever the quantity Bhagavan
allotted for Himself, was found to be the right measure for distribution
to each present on that day!  The distribution had never fallen short of
serving all at any time!
