Miracles Do Happen
« on: December 26, 2008, 10:30:56 AM »
In 1932 Narayana Iyer came with his nephew Ganapathi Raman
to visit Bhagavan Ramana.  Narayana Iyer came subsequently came
with his sister to have darshan of Bhagavan Ramana.  At that time,
the lady was quite ill.   Bhagavan Ramana said Narayana Iyer to
engage a bullock cart and go to giripradakshina, since the lady
was ill and the cart could be used in case the lady could not walk
further.  The party then proceeded to the Hills, with the bullock
cart carrying food and water plying behind them.  At about noon,
they reached Adi Annamalai and the old lady began to talk a little!
She continued to walk very slowly with the group.  At the time of
reaching the Bhagavan's Bridge, the lady improved further and
they took food and rest there.  Thus taking about 12 hours of walking
and they completed the circuit!  In a few days time, the old lady
made a dramatic and full recovery from her illness!  From that time
onwards, the lady and the other members of the family made regular
visits to Bhagavan Ramana and also circumambulated the Hills.

The lady's son Ganapati Raman was seeing Bhagavan Ramana at
regular intervals during his official work in Vellore.  He became a
permanent inmate of the Asramam, during his retired life.  He
passed away in 2007, inside his room in the Asramam.
