Tiruvembavai - 8
« on: December 23, 2008, 10:58:59 AM »
Along with Tiruvembavai -4, I hads written on the verses 5,6, and 7,
since I was planning to go to Tiruvannamalai on these three days.
Now, let us take up Verse 8.

In this early morning dawn, the cocks have already cooked.  The
birds and the white starks are making sounds.  The White Conchshells
are beling blown in the temple by the sadhus and devotees.  Have
you not heard these music?  We are also singing His glory, the
great Effulgence, the summit of Vedas, and the Grace personified.
O you live long! What a sleep is this?  Have you not heard?  Oh!
Is this the sleep of Vishnu, who sleeps in the Milky Ocean, with
his disc, constantly meditating on Siva in his yoga-nidra?  Now
we have understood your sleep!  Let us sing His glory, the Causeless
Cause before the aeons, the First Principle, the friend of the poor!
O girl, please wake up!

Arunachala Siva.
