Tiruvannamalai in Tiruvachakam - 10
« on: December 15, 2008, 01:01:24 PM »
The next composition of Tiruvachakam, is Tiru Ponnoosal, meaning,
the Song of the Holy Swing.  There are two verses, in which Saint
Manikkavachagar, describes Arunachala.

The Verse 1 is read as under:

O the girls with spear like eyes!  Come let us swing.  Let us sing
the praise of the Lord of Uttarakosa Mangai, His feet which are
Grace.  Let us fix the posts with corals.  Let us fix the ropes made
of pearls.  Let us sit on the golden seat and pray the feet that
have not been seen by Narayana.

The Verse 8 reads as under:

He is from the Ancient Kailash.  He came to our lands to take food
with us, which is more than nectar for Him.  He came from the
oceans, taking pity on this world.  He is the Lord of Uttarakosa Mangai,
which is full of all wealth and great people.  He is beyond the reach
of Vishnu.  Let us sing His glory to our hearts' content.  Let our breasts
swell with happiness. Let our hearts melt.  Let us sing His glory and
play in the golden swing!

Arunachala Siva.
