Tayumanavar Songs
« on: December 07, 2008, 03:12:33 PM »
Tayumanavar has composed a group of songs titled 'Sukavari' meaning,
the Ocean of Bliss.  This is one of the many compositions which was
liked by Bhagavan Ramana very much and Devaraja Mudaliar used to
sing in these songs in His Presence.

Verse 1 reads as under:

Tasty food, fruits, jaggery gravy, crystal sugar, sugar and honey.
Like these you came to me and conferred Grace; all the time,
Your devotees are melting and seeking your Grace,
With speed of thoughts lessened, their words stuttering,
And the body getting tired, and be restful and non moving,
That experiential Bliss, not known to senses,
They realize as It is,
A girl may say that she hates conjugal bliss as neem,
But when wedded, she will with the union of her husband,
Will smile at those earlier feelings of hate,
Like that, this innocent, when getting the Grace,
Will taste the Bliss, and this is the beginning,
O Pure Primordial God, without any likes and dislikes,
O the Effulgence, the Ocean of Bliss!
