During His last days, Bhagavan Ramana, as per doctors, should have
had, excruciating pain, not only on the lef arm but throught the body.
On a few occasions, when attendants posed an innocent but well
intentioned question: "Bhagavan!  Is there pain?" Bhagavan Ramana
replied:  "There is pain."  Note, He had not said: "I have pain!"  He
had only said:  "There is pain!"

Now the question is:  Bhagavan Ramana did neither have a quiet
mind, nor an agitated mind.  He had 'no-mind'.  Then, what is it,
that said:  "There is pain." ?

There were two surmises:  Bhagavan Ramana had a little pain, as
Saiva Siddhantis called 'the thinned effect of prarabdha.'  The other
view was:  His body had pain and He had to express it.  If He had said
that there was no pain, that would be belittling the Truth.  If He had
said: I have pain, that would be bloating a mind, which was never there!
