Verses 53 and 54 of Sivananda Lahari, comapres Siva to a peacock
dancing.

Verse 53 reads as under:

Having raised plumes, and having two thousand eyes in its feathers,
         like Adisesha,
Cooing with the sounds of ke,ke.. like the Pranava natha,
you are adored like a peacock, O Siva!
You like a peacock, becomes happy with Paravati, with clouds like form,*
And dances in her presence in the gardens of Vedanata, O Siva,
with peacock like blue throat, I adore you!

(* Paravati and Vishnu are having blue-green forms.  Siva and Sarasvati
are said to be having white-golden forms.  Brahma and Lakshmi are said to be having lotus red forms.)

Verse 54 reads as under:

You dance in the evenings, and at the beginning of the monsoons,
You are happy with the thunder-like "mridanga" of Vishnu,
and with the lightning like looks of all devas,
You are happy with the rains of the blissful tears of devotees,
and Parvati is with you like a pea-hen,
I adore your evening-dance*, O Siva, with peacock like blue throat!

(* Sandhya-kala dance of Siva)
