Miracles Do Happen
« on: December 03, 2008, 11:07:58 AM »
After recovery from his serious illness, N.R. Krishnamoorthy Iyer,
became a very staunch devotee of Bhagavan Ramana to the extent
that his wife had doubts whether Iyer would embrace sannyasa!  He
visited Bhagavan Ramana as often as practicable from Madurai. Once
he and his friends from Madurai took some good number of Azhagar
Kovil Dosais from Madurai, for Bhagavan and others!  He also helped
the Asram in getting some photographs of Tiruchuzhi and Madurai
Temples. He had been at the Asram for one Jayanti celebrations and
he had vision of the Hills appearing as a huge Siva Linga.  He pursued
the self enquiry.  At one stage, he felt that he could no longer work
in the American College and give lectures to students.  So again before
the reopening of the college, he went to Asram to ask Bhagavan Ramana
about his predicament.   Bhagavan Ramana, just gazed at him.  He
then took out a book from the shelf in the Old Hall and went out to
Matrubhutesvara Temple to pray and read that book.  The book was
Jnana Vasishtam.  By about 1 PM, one particular verse struck him by
the significance of its content.  "In the inerval between two successive
flights of thought, there is a Silence, in which shines Pure Consciousness
of the Self!  Feeling overjoyed by this verse, he returned to the Old Hall
and kept back the book.  He prostrated to Bhagavan Ramana who smiled
at him, meaningfully!  He could attend to his college work, without any
interruption or doubts about his capacity to teach!
