Punarchi Pathu
« on: December 02, 2008, 11:14:31 AM »
Punarchi Pathu, Decad of Union, is a composition of 10 verses in
Tiruvachakam, sung in Tiru Perundurai, describing his union with
Siva, Brahman.

Verse 1 reads as under:

The Hill of Effulgence, full of gold, the un-punctured
pearl, has taken hold of me and ruled me!
This wasteful soul, entering into a body became lowly and
   deluded,
The temple of Mercy could not be fathomed by the black
Vishnu and Brahma and they are stranded still!
He gave him to me, he is my Nectar, how can I remain here,
still without merging with that ruby?

Verse 3 reads as under:

The tall Vishnu and Brahma were bewildered at
   the tall column of Effulgence,
He took hold of me and ruled me, without my efforts,
he is the nectar of my heart!
The devotees are experiencing the springing of the nectar
to such extent that they cry and place flowers at his feet,
When I can wear that ruby in my heart by merging with him?
