Kodai Nagar Tiruppugazh
« on: December 01, 2008, 12:00:06 PM »
Kodai Nagar is a small town near Kanchipuram.  There is a
Tiruppugazh song on Skanda of this temple.

This is composed on Nayaki-Nayaka bhavam.

By the roaring of the ocean that encircles the world,
By the gossiping of the village women everyday about me,
My love pangs increase, and it is like poison and fire on me,
Please come and embrace me tightly with your twelve shoulders!
O the one who embraces the hunter girl Valli,
Who resides in Kodainagar with your peacock in the temple,
You pierced the Krouncha Hill, with a thud that even Yama feared!
You cut the leg-cuffs of the devas, after your victory!
