Sivananda Lahari
« on: November 25, 2008, 11:17:09 AM »
Verse 15 of Sivananda Lahari reads as under:

O Pasupati  Unless you do have dislike for me, how can I not have
interest in meditation upon you and store all bad desires in my mind?
How come, are you not  cancelling the words on my head* written by  Brahma? Unless you have that power, how else could you have snapped one of the heads of Brahma with your delicate fingers?

Verse 16 of Sivananada Lahari reads as under:

Let Brahma live with a long life.  Let his remaining heads be safe
without being snapped!  Is it not he, who wrote words on my head?
But I shall no more worry about them.  O blemishless God!  Please
grace through the corner of your eyes and it is that graceful look,
which is saving devotees in this world.
