Sri Ramana Prarthanai Padigam
« on: November 20, 2008, 12:05:45 PM »
Sri Ramana Prarthanai Padigam, is a composition of 11 verses, modelled
on Prarthanai Pathu of Manikkavachagar, in Tiruvachakam.  This is
in Sri Ramana Sannidhi Murai.

Verse 1 reads as under:

The Holy Venkata with His grace, took hold of me and ruled this
     lowly devotee,
O my Master, because of that liberty, I took upon this Sannidhi
Murai songs and the Prarthanai Padigam,*
O Siva of holy feet which cannot be fathomed even by gods of heavan,
Kindly remove all the obstacles that might crop, while singing
this song, that is my prayer, O ocean of grace and goodness!

(* Muruganar says that his only prayer is to remove obstacles
through His grace, for these Sannidhi Murai, compositions.)

Verse 8 reads as under:

O with beauty and excellent disposition, and with grace limitless,
You took them with your love your devotees, and
With your grace, you cleaned up the sins of them, I  bow to you,
Venkata, the Silent One, in the Hills, with roaring water falls.
