Sri Ramana Tiru Por-chunnam
« on: November 18, 2008, 02:34:38 PM »
Sri Ramana Tiru Por-Chunnam of Muruganar in Sri Ramana Sannidhi
Murai, consists of 34 verses, and is modelled on Tiru Por-Chunnam
of Manikkavachagar in Tiruvachakam.

Verse 1 reads as under:

Let the world wonder as if it is a picture, let us set up the pestle stone,
O girls with red lines of beautiful eyes, which shall eat this world,
let us decorate the pestle stone,
Place nice herbs and fragrant spices, in large measures, and start,
Let us pound the gold-dust to Venkata, who has consumed our egos!

Verse 5 reads like this:

He is the eye and the contemplation, he is the learning and the questions,
He is the music and the song, he is the drink and the food,
He is the numbers and the letters, he is all the variant things,
Let us pound the gold-dust to Venkata, who is the Space and the earth!
