The decad of Wishing or Asai Pathu, is a compositon of 10 verses,
in Tiruvcahakam of Manikkavachagar.  This was sung in Tirup
Perundurai.

Verse 1 reads like this:

You feet is not yet seen by the god with flag-mast of Garuda*
You gave that great Substance and took hold of me, O my non-
                                                                           punctured Ruby!
"You leave that darkeness and come to me, the Effulgence," You
                                                                           called me!
I want only your Grace, Please see my state, O my Lord!

(* The god with the flag-mast of Garuda - Vishnu.)

Verse 8 reads like this:

I want to pray you with my hands and hold your anklet-wearing
feet and place them on my chest,
I want to keep them on my head, and cry, O my Lord, O my Lord!
O my Lord! I want to cry only this and melt like a wax on fire!
I want only your Grace, my Lord of Tiruvaiyaru*, Please see my state!

(* Tiruvaiyaru is near Thanjavur, where Kaveri branches off into
five small rivulets.  Aaiyaru means in Tamil, five rivers.)
