Sri Ramana Aasai Pathu

Sri Ramana Aasai Pathu, Decad of Wishing is a composition of Muruganar
with 12 verses, in Sri Ramana Sannidhi Murai.

It is on the lines of Tiruvachakam, Decad of Wishing.

Verse 1 reads like this:

You also took my life, as you had taken the life of the god of death,
O Siva with a flag mast of Bull*, the all powerful god Venkata!
O Siva with beautiful eye on the forehead, O my Lord, I want
To drown in your Grace and Love, this is my wish, please see my Lord!

(* The bull or Nandi is the flag mast as well as the vehicle of Siva.)

You took hold of me, who was loitering with a sugar cane bow*
You made me to live with you, O Venkata, with eye on the forehead!
O the Effulgence of Turiya, speading your light on all places,
I want to drown in that light, this is my wish, please see my Lord!

(* The bow of sugarcane symblizes the feelings of desire and lust,
as Manmatha, the god of love is having that bow and arrows of flowers.
