Acha Pathu, Decad of Fear, (actually 11 verses), by Muruganar
is in Sri Ramana Sannidhi Murai, and is on the same lines as that
of Manikkavachagar.
Verse 4 reads like this:
I am not afraid of wakefulness and sleep,
I am not afraid of forgetfulness and remembrance,
I am not afraid of the drops of sweat on the foreheads
Of women with eyes like those of forest deers,
I am only afraid of those who have no mind to devotion,
To the Holy Being of Venkata, who has no going and coming
Verse 9 reads like this:
I am not afraid of the mad angry elephant,
I am not afraid of the fearful eyes of tigers,
I am not afraid of the sweet words of women,
Whose feet are softer than the silk cotton,
I am only afraid of those who are not staying in the lotus feet of Venkata,
Whose eyes will correct the errors of His holy devotees, for their
upliftment.
