Miracles do happen
« on: November 08, 2008, 11:08:06 AM »
Once an old man who was also a lame, and walking with crutches,
was being illtreated by his son and daughter in law in Tiruvannamalai,
and he decided to leave the town and commit suicide.  He wanted to
go round the Hills once and possibly he thought he would drown himself
into one of the springs in the Hills.  When he was going round the Hill,
suddenly an old Brahmin appeared before him and told:  "For your
status, why all this?"  So saying, the old brahmin took away the
crutches and threw into the valley.  The old man fell down, cried,
and when he got up, he found that he was no longer lame!  He
went back home, fully fit, and the son and the daughter in law
were surprised about the news and began to respect him because
God had helped the old man.  His like naturally improved thereafter.

Devaraja Mudaliar quotes this in his Day by Day.  The devotees as usual
attributed this to Bhagavan Ramana and He was enthusiastically
hearing the story but disclaimed any ownership.  This was His
usual practice.

Such miracles do happen even today, in Tiruvannamalai.
