Miracles do happen
« on: November 07, 2008, 04:31:39 PM »
Miracles did happen in Tiruvannamalai and even now miracles are
happening.  Nobody can logically explain these things, because
these are beyond logic and worldly reasoning.  This can be attributed
to the power of Siva or the power of the Presence of Bhagavan Ramana.

Once in the town of Tiruvannamalai, a lonely lady got down from
the railway station and engaged a horse-cart to go to her house.
She was new to Tiruvannamalai.  The driver was a scoundrel and
he wanted to rob her jewels and so he took her to a far way road,
diverting his route.  He got down and threatened her.  Just then,
some policemen arrived and he took to his heels.  The policemen
safely placed the lady in her house.  The lady took down their numbers,
to reward her next morning.  On the next morning, on enquiry she
was told that there are no such policemen with such number plates!

When the devotees reported this to Bhagavan Ramana, He took
great interest and heard the story.  When some devotees asked Him,
whether He had only "done" that miracle, He coolly said:  "How
do I know?  Miracles do take place often in this place!"

Dear srkudai,

How does any one know?

Everyone present at that time knew that the miracles did happen.
Even Ramana knew it.  But whether it is by Ramana or Arunachala,
was the question even during that time.  Ramana Himself refused
ownership for such events.  He said:  Such things happen here
often but Arunachala does it.  The devotees attributed these things
to Bhagavan Ramana.

Why does it not happen everywhere?

It is like home altar and a temple.  In a home altar we at best
place one flower garland to the God.  In a temple, 100 garlands
are being placed on the deity on a single day.  More than 1 lakh
people visit Tirupati everyday.  But to my home altar, very rarely
people come.  Hence there is the power of the presence.

Arunachala Siva.
