Tirup Pallandu
« on: November 07, 2008, 03:58:37 PM »
Tirup Pallandu, as posted earlier, was composed around the same
time as that of Sarana Tiru Ahaval.  It contains many songs, with
a refrain ending Pallandu...Pallandu, meaning, Long live for several
years, Long live for several years.

Verse 581 reads as under:

Excepting the feet of Siva, the feet of Hari
And those of others, I leave,
Since they are all the feet of the conception of the mind!
The feet of the Sublime, the feet of Suddha Meinjanana,
The feet of the Space, that is the feet of our Guru, Long
live for several years, Long live for several years.

Verse 676 reads like this:

Long live for several years, long live for several years,
Long live for several thousands of years,
Long live for several years, the Pure Space of Silence,
Who kept me in His feet,
Long live for several years, his lotus feet,
For the good devotees, who pray to Him,
Long live those devotees, chanting His feet and live
    For several years.

(Sri Ramana Anbhuti, Muruganar, Tamil, Sri Ramansramam.
  Translation my own.)

Arunachala Siva.
