Yatirai Pathu
« on: November 02, 2008, 12:42:13 PM »
Yatirai Pathu or Decad of Pilgrimage, is another composition of
Muruganar in Sri Ramana Sannidhi Murai.  It describes the
pilgrimage to the Self Realization.  Manikkavachakar has also
written a Yattirai Pathu, singing the glory of pilgrimage to Siva Loka.
But only two verses are available in this composition.

Muruganar says in Verse 8:

To abandon the death and the disease of birth,
He has shown us His Grace, the guru, Venkata, of Tiruchuzhi
   in Pandya Kingdom,
Please meditate on his anklet wearing feet,
There is not much time left, directly take the path of liberation!

Muruganar says in Verse 9:

He had come as a dwarf Brahmina and pushed Mahabhali into
the earth, making him to rule the nether world,
He has come now steer the useless guys  like me into liberation,
Please meditate on his feet, you lowly people,
The Sivaloka is not far away, it is just before you!

Dear Subramanian,
Pilgrimage to self realisation is peculiar in the sense that it is just stop mistaking rope as snake.Getting rid of the "idea of ego"
completes this pilgrimage without any travel. It is a pilgrimage from "here" to "here".

Dear Dr. Raju,

Yes. The Pilgrimage to the Self is staying within the Self.  We are
running here and there to stay where we are!

Dear Subramaniyan ji

It seems The Lord Shiva only took avatar in Thruchzhi to give salvation to the man Kind. Otherwise people like me how understand the Chin Mudra of Dashina moorthy. Swayam Dashina moorthy decended in human form of Venkata ramana.
When Shiva came on earch His Shiva bhaktas also were born like Muruganar. And Muruganar did not forget his devotion towards Shiva. Therefore when he met Bhagavan, His poetic talent once again came out like a spiring and once again
Muruganar sang the Thruvacakam on Bhagavan.
I am waiting for PIDITHA PATHU. I always sing PAL NINAIDHU OOTUM..  these lines will  melt any stone heart.

Dear Ramanaduli,

Muruganar is Manikkavachagar for Ramana Siva.  I am giving some
verses from Tiruvachakam and Sri Ramana Sannidhi Murai, under
the same song-heads, concurrently.  Pidittha Pathu will be posted
soon.
