Pranava Body - Disintegrating into atoms
« on: October 31, 2008, 11:51:36 AM »
Once Bhagavan Ramana, while He was on the Hills, when He was
called Brahmana Swami, wanted to fast and become a Pranava body.
He was going into the jungle, Vasudeva Sastri, who was a young boy,
studying in Veda Patasala came to Him running and send: "You have
come all alone, let us return to Virupaksha Cave."  Bhagavan Ramana
said: "I shall spend two days in the jungle and come back, you go."
Vasudeva Sastri started weeping.  However, Bhagavan Ramana pacified
him and walked further.  Suddenly, Satthappaswami, Head of Esanya
Math, came in a cart and on seeing Bhagavan took Him to his Math
for feeding!

There were two more such occasions, when Bhagavan wanted to
become a Pranava body.  On the second occasion, He wanted to
avoid Jadaswami who was giving troubles to Him and proceed.
But this time, Yogananda Swami frustrated the attempt!

Thirdly, afer Mother Azhagamma's Samadhi, Bhagavan Ramana wanted
to leave Skandasramam for ever and disintegrate.  But it so happened,
a new Asram was created at the foot hills and He had to remain upto
1950!

After reading this, one can wonder, why then Bhagavan Ramana did
not want to disintegrate into Pranava body, particularly at the time
of the terminal cancer.  In my view, He wanted to leave the body
in 'death', and on His samadhi,  a temple would be constructed to make the people understand the power of His presence.

Subramaniam Sir
Back to an old post of yours .
Are you referring here to the disappearance of the body like it happened for Saint Rama Linga Swamigal /Vallalar ?

Dear atmavichar100,

Yes. Sri Bhagavan wanted to disintegrate His body in Camel Rock during earlier years. It is like what Sri Ramalinga Swami had done.
