Drinking water
« on: October 30, 2008, 11:04:22 AM »
Drinking water is a natural activity for all living beings.  But for
human beings, there are some prescriptions.  This is more towards
maintaining good health and not from any moral or spiritual point of

Bhagavan Ramana has quoted the sayings of ancients on some occasion.

Drinking water before commencement of meal is a poison.
Drinking water after completion of meal is nectar.
Drinking water at any time is a tonic!

This is for ordinary human beings.  There could be exceptions,
like, diabetics, I am told, are hyperthirstry and drinks water
and urinates frequently.  Even a high-fever person may not
drink water at all.

Arunachala Siva.

Dear Subramaniyan ji

In Siddha medicine they say, NEERAI CHURUKI....... means we have to boil and it should come lesser quandity what we
had before boiling,(to kill the bacteria specially in raining season)
MORAI PERUKKI..........butter milk should be added with water,
NEIYAI URUKKI...........ghee should be melted while taking
if we follow these rules we do not have diegestive problems. But it is not for sanyasis I think. But in ashram, Bhagavan was very keen to satisfy His devotees so he never kept any rule for himself .Devotees satisfaction was His satisfaction.
That was His compassion.
