What is the significance of GOD in our life?
« on: October 27, 2008, 08:23:17 PM »
Blessed Self,

Please clarify preferably from Bhagawan's teachings, What is the role of God, when it is only our Karma that decides the fruits of our action. We accept that the karma good or bad will definitely be paid in time. If that is so what is prarthana for. How will it change or increase or reduce the effects of our Karma?

Dear Ushanpri,
Karma pertains to body-mind complex only and we cannot change the prarabdha. But we have freedom to disidentify with the
events born by body-mind complex. It is here God helps you if you want to disidentify with the events of body-mind complex by establishing
you in the witnessing consciousness.

Dear ushanpri,

God is only a witness.  Prarabdha has to be gone through.  Our
prayers will confer only strength to put up with prarabdha.
But one can strive to achieve the Self and go beyond Prarabdha.

Dear srkudaiji,

The true devotee never asks anything for himself. He just want to be or just feel His presence. But for others sake the devotee has to ask God to grant their's wishes to be fulfilled. If the wishes are fulfilled the people (who is not devotee)also starts worshiping.
Autually God does not care any body's worshipping. He is beyoing everything. Mainly the people who has suffering with the sickness, they need God's significance in their life. If nothing happens, we say it is the person's prarabdha. If the prayers are heard, we say it is His grace, it is His compassion.  Ultimately, Taking birth itself is suffering.

Dear Ramanaduli,

Continue the prayers or meditation.  If our wishes are not answered,
it does not mean that God is not listening to us.  The nonfulfillment
of wishes could be due to one of the following reasons:

1. Our prayers are not steady and strong.
2. Our prarabdha.
3. Our prayers are not for the correct reasons.

Regardless of the happening or non happening our wishes, we
can continue our prayers.  Steady and strong prayers will confer
results.  Or, whatever may be the results, we will develop a
sense of acceptance to them.

Arunachala Siva.
