Should anyone know about Amrutha Nadi?
« on: October 23, 2008, 01:45:25 PM »
Once in 1942, a Tamil pandit came to Bhagavan Ramana and
was discussing at length about Amrutha Nadi and Bhagavan
was also giving him adequate replies.  Suri Nagamma who was
in the Hall was curiously watching the conversation and she did
not understand much since that was in Tamil.  She became more
interested in the Amrutha Nadi business.  When Bhagavan Ramana
left for the cow shed, she followed Him and found Him discussing
the same thing to Madhava Swami. When Suri Nagamma,
boached the subject again, He told her sternly: "Why these
things for you?"  He further said:  "Because that Tamil pandit
wanted to know some details, I was telling him.  Why do you
want all those things.  Investigate 'Who am I?' and that is
sufficient for you."

After about three days, Suri Nagamma again asked and Bhagavan
replied:  "These are only bhavanas.  For that matter even this body
is a bhavana.  Look into the root of these doubts and that is the
paramount Sadhana."

Bhagavan Ramana always gave devotees what is adequate for them
for self enquiry.  He never gave anything beyond that, to ensure
that the teachings are not more complicated.  This conviction
grew deep into Suri Nagamma.
