Bhagavan ramana and Ramalinga adigalar
« on: October 18, 2008, 05:59:21 PM »
Dear Subramaniyan ji

Bhagavan talks about only our self i.e. self.  Ramalinga adigalar talks about jothi. He started Sanmarga vazhi.
This sanmarga vazhi is the  vichar marga.

Dear Ramanaduli,

Ramalinga Swamigal, prayed to Siva as Arut Perum Jothi, as
Siva as "Large Merciful Effulgence'. He was a Raja Yogi too.
He, of course prayed to Effulgence from outside.  That way,
he was a Saiva Siddanthi and not an Advaiti in strict terms.

Arunachala Siva.

Dear Subramaniyan ji

What is the difference in between Saiva siddantha and Advaita. Both ways tell the way the union with the God ultimately.
So far I think saiva siddantha says everything is Siva. whereas advait says you are the siva. Is not it? Both accept we are all PASU AND SHIVA IS ONLY PATHI.  So he is called PASU PATHI.  Can you please explain.

Dear Ramanaduli,  All  roads lead to Tiruvannamalai!  In qualified
non dualism, (Sri Ramanuja( Sri Vaishanvism)) they say that
the devotees would be in Vaikunta and seeing and being in the
presence of Vishnu, they will spend quita a lot of time and
eventually go to Moksha.  Saiva Siddanta is also a qualified
non dualism, here it is Siva and Kailasa.  Dualsim of Madhva says
that hari-bhaktas will always remain in the presence of Narayana.
It is like someone always tasting sugar candy, some one else
tasting sugar candy for a long time and then becoming sugar candy
at last, and someone being sugar candy right in this world!

Sankara says in Advaita, that there is no Siva, Vishnu business.
You are Brahman, You are Siva and you are Vishnu, because
there is none outside the Self.

Arunachala Siva.

Dear Subramaniya ji

Thanks for giving explaination. Yes. all roads go to Thruvannaalai. Smarthas, Madhvas and vaishnavities all came to Bhagavan and realised their respective Gods in Bhagavan. He is thrimurthy and Para Bhramam.
