Bhagavan and Mother Azaghamma - (3)
« on: September 25, 2008, 11:34:31 AM »
I was writing about how Bhagavan meted out to Mother Azhagamma,
various stipulations to enable her conquer her desires, emotions
and ego feelings.  I remember two more incidents which 'tested'
Mother.  For a long time, after her arrival, Bhagavan did not call
her even "Amma".  This hurt Mother no doubt.  The idea is to remove
her feeling that she is the Mother of Bhagavan and hence is special!

On pususasion by various devotees who were in Skandasramam,
He began to address her as "Amma".

Again, amongst lady-devotees, Bhagavan was always looked  unconcerned, without any special treatment for them, even though
He replied to their genuine questions, with great care.  Amongst
the lady-devotees, Mother was also kept on par with them, without
any special attention for her!  This again hurt her for some time.
But later, she understood that He was the son of all mothers.  But
unconcern is shown to everyone, because they are not different
from gentleman-devotees!
