Guru Namasivaya's Poems: (7)
« on: September 24, 2008, 10:56:10 AM »
Annamalai Venba continues....

31. O Annamalai!  You remove the miseries and hunger.  You
confer the fresh honey of Siva-Jnana.  You remove the darkness
in the lives of devotees and always show your form rendering
limitless happiness.

32. O Annamalai!  You make us boycott our five senses which
show the world and give the bliss of Siva-Jnana.  For the
great devotees, you appear in their Hearts and for the sinners
you hide yourself, and do not show up as if it were a magic.

33. O Annamalai!  You give in our hands the heavy substance
of Jnana and keep your feet on our heads.  In the present life
and in the after life, you as our Guru, rule us and remove all
the hurdles.

34. O Annmalai, You destroyed with your third eye the god of
love, who came without knowing your valour, at the persistence
of the devas for their welfare.  You destroyed the sacrifice of
Daksha.

35. O Annmalai!  Wishing the nice Tevaram of Sundramurthy,
you went to his wife's (Paravai's) house, as a messenger and
thus made your legs to become tired!*  You are always with me,
and made your glory spread in all eight directions, as it it were
a fragrance!

(*  This is a story about Sundaramurthy, who is one of the Great
Four.  In Tiruvarur, when the saint had a quarrel with his wife
Paravai, Siva was a sent as a go-between and He went hither
and thither several times, to make amends between the two!
His legs became tired due that running around!)

to be continued.....

Arunachala Siva.
