Guhai Namasivaya's Poems - (74)
« on: September 22, 2008, 06:00:16 PM »
Aruangiri Andati:  continues.....

1. O Arunachala! For the sake of devas, you took poison with relish,
burnt the Tripura with a smile.  But how come, when the pig
was searching for your lotus feet, you were not consenting and
were standing a column of light?

2. O Arunachala!  The consumer of poison from the milky ocean,
the nectar of the devas, the ruler-father of the world, who is
there for me, even though I do not perform poojas and dharmas
and am wasting my life with useless deeds.

3. O Arunachala!  There is no else for me excepting you.  You
are the refuge, the giver of food, who creates me, protects me
and vanquishes my illness of this birth.

4. O Arunachala!  the temple of grace!  the wearer of Ganga!
Who can annihilate my death-birth cycle excepting you.  O
Siva, who gives unfailing gifts in this world, the king of Annamalai.

5.  O Arunachala!  temple of grace!  I do not fall at your feet.
Nor do I say:  Arunachala!  At the time of death, when I may
not knowing anything, I may not even think of your form.
Please save.
