Guhai Namasivaya's Poems - (70)
« on: September 22, 2008, 04:38:57 PM »
Arunagiri Andati: continues......

1. O king of Annamalai, after you have said, 'Fear not', why
should we be afraid of god of death.  Since I am convinced
that you are the Guru and God who rules me, there is no
fear.  Only those who do not know this, will become dead trees,
covered by the earth.

2. O Arunachala!  How great is your grace.  You have taken me
also as a fit devotee, and conferred me the liberation, through
your lotus feet.  O Siva, the destroyer of the Tripura, you have
cancelled my two karmas and made me fit for liberation.

3. O Arunachala! the consumer of poison, you only know,
who is thieving others' property, who is protecting others'
property, who is taking alms, who is giving alms and all the
calcualations for reckoning.

4. O Arunachala!  After giving alms to those who beg saying,
'Only for now, not for tomorrow' and after praying to you,
in all the three times of the day and ever contemplating on
you, I shall attain liberation.

5. O Arunachala!  Who else is there to protect me in my afterlife?
If I do not think of your beautiful form, if I do not drown myself
in my tears for you, if I do not place flowers on your golden feet,
if I do not sing songs telling your glory, who else is there to
protect me in my afterlife?

to be continued....

Arunachala Siva.
