Guhai Namasivaya's Poems: (61)
« on: September 22, 2008, 01:31:20 PM »
Arunagiri Andati:  continues....

1. O Arunachala, only the fools would think that their birth,
caste, knowledge of the scriptures etc., will show the way
to salvation.  How can one find the feet of my Guru, the king
of Annamalai, through the scriptures?  Tell me, what caste
are you born?

2. O Arunachala, even if one does not have a good birth,
good knowledge of scriptures, or exceptional conduct, it
does not matter, if one circumambulates the temple of
Guru of Annamalai, who is greater than the greatest is
just adequate. He will become greater than the greatest.

3. O Arunachala, one should not forget your name even in
sleep, such person will not be born again.  He will, even in
this life, get great name, great life and wealth and good
children.

4. O Arunachala!  I do not know your front, nor your back.
I am a fool that I do not know who is Arunachala.  I do not
even know the way of praying to you, and the fact that
you are Liberation. I want your grace to have all these,
O King of the Hill!

5. Those who have seen you, O Annamalai, they say that you are
matchless.  With their mind and tongue thinking and speaking
your glory, they will always cry:  O King of gods, king of Annamalai!
They will become hysterical in seeing your form, where Vishnu's
eye adorns your feet and Brahma's skull adorns your hand.

to be continued.....

Arunachala Siva.
