Arunagiri Andati: contnues....

1. O Arunachala!  the One, who consumed the poison from
the milky ocean. It is our duty to pray to you.  If  I constantly
do this, I shall conquer my disease, senility and death, cross
the ocean of samsara,  and I am sure to merge in you golden feet.

2. O Arunachala, if one says, 'Yes, Sonagiri is my God and Guru",
and prays to him everyday, holding his golden feet and if Songiri
considers to grace us, O mind, all your sins and anxieties will

3. O Arunachala, unless I sing the glory of the great three*,
and sing their songs, how can such miracles like the child coming
out of the mouth of a crocodile, or a heavy stone floating on the
water, or a male-palmyra tree getting changed into a female-
palmyra and yielding fruits, happen?

*The great three, have been mentioned in my earlier post.
One new story here, is that when Jnana Sambandha went
to a place and found a devotee-farmer crying that his
palmyra trees have always been male in his grove as such and do
not yield fruits for his livelihood.  The saint poet sang in praise
of Siva and male trees had become female ones showing up
rich bulky palmyra fruits.)

4. O Arunachala!  Let me pray to you everyday and sing your
glory in the temple, lest I do loosen up in my body, my
teeth fall and eyes become blind and god of death stands at
my doorstep calling me!

to be contd....

Arunachala Siva.
