Guhai Namasivaya's Poems - (34)
« on: September 21, 2008, 12:43:37 PM »
Vaazhthu Venba - continues.....

1. O Arunachala, to wipe out the birth-death cycle and complete
this game in this birth itself,  I shall pray to you everyday with
nice flowers.  You are the god  Permanent, 'sthanu' with konrai
flowers' garlands and with matted locks with crescent moon,
let me bow to you everyday.  Glory to you.

2. O Arunachala, I pray to you, the god with poisonous  serpents
as garlands, the one with Mount Meru as bow, one who is the
Guru, one who is the king of Tiruvannamalai.  I shall be rid
of the sorrow of this birth-death cycle, glory to you!

3. O Arunachala, I pray to you.  You are the sole refuge of your
devotees, the god with dark neck, three eyes, wearer of Ganga,
lover of his devotees, wearer of the crescent moon! Glory to you!

4. O Arunachala!  The gods, Vishnu and Brahma, were crying
helplessly in anguish, when the poison came out the milky
ocean.  O god, the wearer of crescent moon, you swallowed
the poison in a jiffy.  Glory to you!

5. O Arunachala! Concorporate of Unnamulai, I pray to you,
to remove the karmas, worries of the birth-death cycle, to
make the fearful Yama to be afraid of me.  Glory to you,
the wearer of pick axe, and fire, the king of Tiruvannamalai.

to be contd....

Arunachala Siva.
