Guhai Namasivaya's Poems - (21)
« on: September 20, 2008, 06:38:05 PM »
Vidu Thiru Namam: continues......

1. O Arunachala, you kicked the swift approaching Yama, the
god of death, when he came to seize Markandeya, who loved
you and was holding your Linga.  For the devotees who love
him, he will shower grace, and their opponents come to trouble
them, even the crescent moon on your matted locks, will spew fire
and drive them.

2. O Arunachala!  Your feet will always be near for protection
of devotees, even while they are in bed with women with breasts
like an ocean.

3. When the poison came out from the milky ocean, like the
ocean of enemy army, and when all the gods were running to
you and cried:  O Siva, save us, you merely  took it on your
palm and consumed it, as if it were a fruit.  O Arunachala, you
saved the gods and the worlds by your grace.

to be contd....

Arunchala Siva.
